The children are invited to come to school in onesies/pyjamas, or dressed in anything which is comfortable for reading. They will need to bring their favourite book too.

We are fortunate to have a real author and illustrator, Steve Webb, in school all day. He will spend some time with every class. Steve is the author of the 'Spangles McNasty' series and 'Peng and Spanners' graphic novels, plus a range of picture books. Please make a donation of £ via Parentpay, to cover the cost of this.

As well as sharing favourite books, reading with younger children, decorating classroom doors and listening to stories, we have a whole school competition with prizes! We would like all children to decorate a wooden spoon as a character from their favourite book. The wooden spoon creations will be displayed in classrooms.

The Y6 Reading Champions have also organised a Book Swap. Everyone is invited to bring one book which they no longer want, then they can swap it for another at the Book Swap. The Reading Champions will help the younger children to choose.

Finally, parents are invited to join us at the end of the day (from 2.45), to find out about all of the exciting things we have been doing.
