Catholic Life, Collective Worship and RE at St Wilfrid's
We had a wonderful Welcome Mass with Father Michael yesterday morning. The children were so respectful and prayerful, and there was some really beautiful singing from everyone. Thank you to Father Michael for starting our year in such a positive way, and to the parents/family members who were able to join us.
Next Friday 2nd October we are supporting the CAFOD Harvest Appeal - children are invited to wear their own clothes for a small donation.
CAFOD is the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development. They work with communities around the world to enable people to access clean water, food, healthcare and education. CAFOD work in times of crisis and for the long term to support people to live with dignity and hope.
It was so wonderful to welcome our new reception starters in a special assembly this week. Thank you very much to Father Craig for joining us from St Williams and leading us in the assembly. The y6 children joined us to support their reception buddies. They led our singing beautifully and shared prayers for all the new children.
