May Procession

May is the month of Our Lady and we had a beautiful procession to honour her.

May is a special time when we particularly think about Mary the mother of Jesus. To show our love for her we held our May Procession. The children processed round the school grounds and joined together for a beautiful service in the hall. Every child had written an intention for Mary to pray for on a petal shape and the chaplaincy team worked together to make them into beautiful giant paper flowers. They also helped to prepare the prayer focus, gathering the flowers that the children had brought in. The year 5/6 class had worked together to make a beautiful poster of Our Lady. The whole school joined together with hymns to Mary and Fr Michael gave us a reflection on the Gospel story of the Wedding at Cana and how we can follow Mary's example in our own lives. The chaplaincy team read the bidding prayers and we all said a decade of the rosary together. It was a very special service, thank you so much to all the parents and carers who joined us.
