With Valentine's Day approaching, we spent today's prayer club thinking about love. After reflection and sharing our prayers, we talked about how love isn't about flowers or chocolates. We looked at St Paul's letter to the Corinthians all about what love is and is not. We used a lectio divina style, reading the passage aloud four times. The first two times, we let the words sink in and thought about what stood out to us. For the third time we replaced the word "love" with the word "God", contemplating God's character. For the fourth reading, we inserted our own names in the place of "love", thinking about how we are called to act and if there are any areas that we need to improve on.  We then had some time to silently reflect, filling in our names and sharing encouraging messages for other people.
