Hugo’s amazing moments

When we got to the Hollowford centre we brought all our bags and suitecases inside and decided what we were going to have for tea. Then we had to choose who we were going to have in our dorms,  I had Marcus, Malachie, Joseph and Tom.

For our first activity we did rock scrambling then archery and then we did my favourite thing and made our raft and jumped in the water. And that was only the first day!

At night!

My dorm had loads of sweets untill MR SCOTT came in luckily we got away with it…………….. just!

In the morning we had breakfast it was DELICOUS then we drove over to the lake and went canoeing it was fun.Marcus, Luke and I tried to capsize our boat ! When we got home everyone was wet !

The next day me and Sol had to leave to go and play rugby.

Healthy Chart Reward

Last half term our class collected the most points on our ‘Happy and Healthy’ chart. The winning class can choose a healthy reward. We have decided that we would like a visit to Millhouses Park to play sports and use the playground. We will be going on Thursday 29th March in the afternoon and return for the end of the school day. Children will need comfortable footwear, a waterproof coat and a snack and drink. Please let me know if you are able to join us. I do need at least 4 adults for the visit to go ahead. Thank you!

Science Week

Last week we spent the week investigating and exploring different activities during Science week. The children had great fun with magnets and used what they found out to charm a snake – ask your child how we managed to charm our snakes out of the basket,  see if they can explain how we did it.

The children also had fun with bubbles. We used lots of different bubble makers. The children tried making  a large bubble, small bubbles, lots of bubbles and investigated if they could make different shaped bubbles. We were lucky to have a fine week and the children spent lots of time in the fresh air blowing bubbles and talking about what they saw.

If you get a chance check out our lovely spring flowers that are blossoming in our outside area. These have grown from the bulbs we planted back in September. We will be developing our outside growing area next term when we will be planting some vegetables.

Thank you for your continued support

Whirlow Farm Visit

Just a reminder that on Friday 23rd March it is our class visit to Whirlow farm. We will be going in two groups by mini bus up to the farm. We will be returning by lunch time. Please ensure that your child brings a waterproof coat to wear and sensible shoes or wellies. They can also wear their own trousers but please ensure your child wears their school sweatshirt/ cardigan.

We are really looking forward to a super visit to Whirlow Farm and lets keep our fingers crossed for a sunny day.
