Well done to the 16 children who competed  in the Links School Sports Partnership Hotshots Event for Y3/4s at Notre Dame School on Monday afternoon.

Our 16 children were split up into 2 teams of 8 each comprising  4 boys and 4 girls . They were competing against 5 other schools including  Sharrow  and St Maries.

Each match consisted of 2 x 4 minute halves. 4 boys  played the first half and then the 4 girls played the second half.

Throughout the tournament  all the children showed great determination coupled with plenty of basketball skills!!

In the first 5 matches  St Wilfrids team 2 won 3, drew 2 and lost 1 and  St Wilfrid’s team 1  managed to win 4 and draw one and progressed into the next round.

During  the afternoon  the children played with great enthusiasm, team spirit and respect for their opponents and were a real credit to the school.

Many thanks to all the parents who came and supported us in the afternoon.
